Dagny
BISS BIF GCh DC Aria Svora Sweet Purple SC FCh
Dagny finished her AKC coursing title with a 5 point major at the 2010 National Specialty in Kentucky with 20 Borzoi in her stake. She has one AKC major from a Best in Field over 7 other breeds which included a run to break a tie with a Greyhound. She was BOB on one day at the 2009 Grand National. She is over two-thirds of the way to her LCM.
Except for showing a few times as a puppy, Dagny began her show career in February 2010. Her second time in the ring she won a 4 point major as BOS over bitch specials. Dagny’s second 4 point major was BOB over seven specials. Her final win from the classes was a 3 point major as BOW.
Her first weekend out as a Special she won the Rocky Mountain Borzoi Club Specialty 2010, from Dr. James Sillers.
She was the only Dual Champion Borzoi at Eukanuba 2010
Select Bitch RMBC 2011 Specialty
When I think about my BOB winner at the RMBC the Borzoi Standard states it best:
“Special emphasis is placed on sound running gear, strong neck and jaws, courage and agility, combined with proper condition. The Borzoi should always possess unmistakable elegance, with flowing lines, graceful in motion or repose. Bitches, feminine and refined.”
Dr. James Sillers
Ray started in Deerhounds 33 years ago and fell in love with Sighthounds. When we married we ended up with four Afghan Hounds and I fell in love with Sighthounds. Six years ago we met a woman at the dog shows in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She took the time to introduce us to Borzoi and we’ve been enamored since. Her name, Cindi Gredys, our exceptional mentor and friend. Our regards for help and mentoring from Rita Rice, Shirley McFadden, Tom and KC Golcher, Barb Ewing, Cydni Schroeder, Leonore Abordo, Melissa Pearce, Anne Midgarden, Dr. Jim Sillers, and so many others. We’ve found the Borzoi family to be always willing to help. Borzoi will be the loves of our lifetime. Their gentle and sophisticated demeanor, their grace, their fun loving attitude, and their incredible enthusiasm about everything are cherished in our home. We hope you enjoy our website and will visit often as puppy pictures are posted.
